For my people have done two evils. They have forsaken me, the fountain of living water, and have digged to themselves cisterns, broken cisterns, that can hold no water. Jer. 2, 13

Berky Water filters, pro and cons. I have been using berkys for several years to filter water from Rain water cisterns. I have found them very good.
Now not everyone can afford a big berky, try out a small one as it is easy to travel with, can be packed quick to throw in the car if you need to move location. There is also a travel version which I used when in Ecuador, it contains about 2 pints.
Now if you are on a real tight budget, get two strong bucket the same size. In one bucket drill three holes the same size as the tip of a berky filter, fit three filters in the bucket as you would a new berky. Place this bucket over the other with two lengths of wood to support the bucket over the other. Fill the top bucket with water and you have an economical water filter.
